Chairwoman's Message

Alexis PhotoWelcome to the Made With Love Craft Show. I sincerely appreciate your interest in the show, as a vendor, sponsor, or attendee!

The origins of this show lie in the Make a Difference Craft Show, which was held in May 2009 at Oakwood Country School in Morgan Hill. This craft show was in fact my high school senior year project and it took the full twelve months to plan!. I never imagined that the show would be as successful as it was; over 400 attendees, 33 local vendors, and $1,617.26 were raised for the American Cancer Society. Please click here to see photos and video of the event.

A year and almost 6 months later, I am planning a craft show again but now at my university, Santa Clara University. With my passion for arts and crafts, entrepreneurship and non-profit organizations, the Make A Difference Craft Show was reborn as the Made With Love Craft Show.

What makes the Made With Love Craft Show so different from any other show is that it has a very local feel and vibe to it: the show features local vendors, raffle prizes donated by local businesses, and fundraising for a local non-profit.

This year, I am very proud and honored to fundraise for Rebekah Children's Services in Gilroy, CA. This amazing non-profit is 100% dedicated to promoting the social, emotional and physical well being of children and families through their plethora of program offerings, including but not limited to: Prevention & Education, Phoenix Non-Public School, Compadres Wraparound Services, and Adoption & Foster Care. In economic times such as these, financial worries can have a devastating impact on families, such as a limited budget, loss of a home, divorce, or separation of families. As a result, children suffer tremendously from the stress and trauma. Fortunately, many of these families are aided significantly by Rebekah’s efforts to keep the family together as much as possible through their wonderful, beneficial programs and services.

In the words of John F. Kennedy, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” We will come together as vendors, attendees, and sponsors from all walks of life. We will keep together as a community. And we will work together and succeed in our effort to raise money for Rebekah Children's Services.

Yours Truly,

Alexis A. Babb
Chairwoman
